HEALTH & SAFETY
KEEPING OUR STAFF AND THE PUBLIC SAFE
OUR PROCEDURES
All scaffolding is erected under Matrix Scaffolding health and safety policies.
All operatives receive on site, technical college, and specialist independent training which can take them from trainee up to a qualified scaffolder.
All operatives are required to wear the minimum personal protective equipment at all times, safety harness, hard hat, safety boots, high visibility vest, UV Rated safety glasses and gloves.
Safety harnesses are worn while working on scaffolding.
Adhering to SG4, the use of fall arrest equipment whilst erecting, altering, and dismantling scaffolding, operatives are trained to these standards. We thereby strive to ensure the monitoring of safe working practices.
Double handrails and toe boards are fitted as standard on all Matrix Scaffolding structures.
Suitable warning signs are placed at ground level to warn other contractors on-site and the general public that works are being undertaken in the vicinity.
Trainees are not permitted to work on scaffolding unless under the supervision of a qualified scaffolder.
No contractor is permitted to use scaffolding unless scaffolding has been certified and handed over to the client.
Scaffolding structures are clearly tagged to identify completion, inspection, and a safe working load. We are currently insured by a reputable local insurance company.
